A Love Story Set in the Oldest City
There’s something about St Augustine that slows everything down in the best way.
The worn brick streets. The salt in the air. The golden light bouncing off centuries old buildings. It feels layered. Textured. Romantic without trying too hard.
As a St Augustine wedding photographer, I document celebrations with bold color, emotional depth, and intentional direction that feels effortless. Your wedding photos should honor the history around you while still feeling modern and alive.
If you’re planning a wedding in St Augustine and want imagery that feels vibrant, soulful, and elevated, you’re exactly where you should be.
I photograph the clean ceremony compositions. The dramatic balcony portraits. The soft candlelit receptions. The in between glances when you realize this is really happening.
St Augustine isn’t just a backdrop. It’s a character in your story.
Whether you’re exchanging vows at:
Lightner Museum
Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine
Villa Blanca
The Treasury on the Plaza
Casa Monica Resort & Spa
every space carries history and mood.
My Style in a City That Already Has So Much Style
When a location is this strong, photography has to be intentional.
I use:
• Archways and symmetry
• Spanish inspired textures
• Shadow and light contrast
• Ocean breeze movement
• Editorial framing that still feels natural
Your portraits won’t feel stiff. They’ll feel powerful. Confident. Romantic. Alive.
The goal is always balance. The city gets its moment. You get yours.
I believe your story is told best in the real stuff. The in between glances. The tight hand squeezes. The way your people look at you when you are not even paying attention. I photograph weddings in a documentary way that feels honest and full of life, layered with an editorial touch that keeps everything elevated and beautiful.
I’ll step in with direction when you need it. I’ll step back when you don’t. You will never feel stiff or overly posed, just supported, comfortable, and completely seen.
Your wedding isn’t one size fits all. The way you celebrate, the people you surround yourself with, the pace of your day it all matters. That’s why my collections are designed with room to breathe, giving you exactly what you need for a smooth, joy filled experience from start to finish.
St Augustine is coastal, but it’s not casual. It’s refined coastal.
Ceremonies overlooking the water.
Portraits along Aviles Street.
Reception dance floors packed under chandeliers.
I photograph both the quiet emotion and the high energy celebration. The tight hand squeeze before you walk down the aisle. The champagne spray at the end of the night.
You don’t have to choose between timeless and fun. Your gallery can hold both.
Why Experience in St Augustine Matters
Historic cities bring unique lighting challenges. Narrow streets. Mixed indoor lighting. Churches with strict ceremony rules. Tight timelines between ceremony and sunset.
I plan for all of it.
Golden hour here is short and warm. We build time intentionally for portraits along the bayfront or tucked into quiet brick courtyards.
Most St Augustine couples book 8 hours of coverage. Larger celebrations or cathedral ceremonies often lean toward 9 or 10 to preserve breathing room in the timeline.
Because rushed never feels romantic.
Cobblestone streets.
Old doorways.
Ocean overlooks.
Soft sunset along the Castillo walls.
Engagement sessions here feel cinematic and playful at the same time. We’ll walk. We’ll move. We’ll lean into architecture and natural connection.
By wedding day, everything feels effortless.

WHAT IS YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
My style blends documentary storytelling with gentle guidance. I focus on emotion, connection, and honest moments rather than stiff posing or forced perfection.

Most couples book 9–15 months in advance, especially for peak Florida wedding seasons. If your date is sooner, I’m always happy to check availability.

Yes. Engagement sessions are included in most wedding collections and are a wonderful way for us to connect before the wedding day.
DO YOU CHARGE TRAVEL FEES FOR WEDDINGS IN FLORIDA?
I do not charge any travel fees for weddings that take place in Florida. Inquire about destination weddings out of state or international weddings.

WHO DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?
I recommend printing through professional labs such as mpix, bayphotos, and Miller's professional images.
WHAT TIME SHOULD WE SCHEDULE OUR CEREMONY FOR?
Pay attention to where the sun is at your ceremony location. Look at when sunset is for that day and if daylight savings time plays a role for your wedding day.
- Emma Carter & Jack Reynolds
“From the moment we first connected, Nikki made us feel seen, heard, and valued. She didn’t just capture our wedding day; She captured us. Every little detail, every stolen glance, every burst of laughter — all the moments we didn't even realize were happening. When we look through our photos, we don’t just see images, we feel the joy, the love, the electricity of that day all over again."
- Zoe Harrison & Max Walker
"She was prepared for anything — rain, wind, unexpected changes — and her excitement was infectious. Our photos are beyond breathtaking; they feel alive. Each one takes us right back to that cliffside, feeling the wind in our hair and the love in our hearts. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond to tell your love story, look no further."
- Ava Brooks & Noah Bennett
"From our first meeting, she put us at ease with her warm personality and genuine passion for storytelling. On our elopement day, she was right there in the moment with us, guiding us when we needed it and fading into the background when we wanted to soak in the experience. The result? Stunning photos that are raw, real, and impossibly beautiful."
