As a Florida family photographer I always say, there’s something magical about the holiday season that seems to make every moment feel a little warmer, a little cozier, and a little more special. This year, I had the absolute joy of capturing the Kutner family’s annual holiday tradition with an in-home lifestyle session that was equal parts festive and heartwarming.

From the moment I walked into their beautifully decorated home, I could feel the love and connection that make the Kutners who they are. The smell of freshly baked cookies wafted through the air, holiday tunes played softly in the background, and the family—decked out in matching plaid pajamas—was ready to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Lifestyle sessions like this are some of my favorites because they’re all about capturing the simple, authentic moments of togetherness. For the Kutners, it was about leaning into their holiday traditions and letting their personalities shine. The kids were all smiles (and a little bit of mischief) as they helped roll out cookie dough, sneaking bites of chocolate chips when they thought no one was looking. Flour ended up everywhere—on the counters, the floor, and even a little on Dad’s nose—but that’s what made it perfect.

As the cookies baked, we took a break for some cuddly moments by the Christmas tree. The soft glow of the twinkling lights was the perfect backdrop for snuggles, giggles, and reading a favorite holiday story together.
